The Association of Moremi Women (AMW)
Mission Statement

Our Mission Statement
 
The Association of Moremi Women is a non-profit organization, founded to foster greater understanding and unity among Yoruba women and families.  We are committed to promoting our cultural heritage in our host community and to empower our women in all areas of life.  This group's goal is to instill our cultural heritage on our children.

The purpose of this organization is to increase the popularity of our common interests. We hope to add new members so we will be able to grow and expand. We also want to have fun while when we are together and working on projects. By developing relationships and friendships, the organization will become even stronger.

Our Code of Ethics

  • We commit to unity, honesty, trust, integrity & love
  • We commit to promote positive images of AMW
  • We commit to have respect for self, the AMW and treat each other as valued members and not be condescending
  • We commit to timeliness and punctuality
  • We commit to good conduct both inside and outside AMW
  • We commit to confidentiality of members and AMW information
  • We commit to support each other at all events physically, morally and spiritually
  • We commit to address each other by "Olori" and Last Name
  • We commit to conduct ourselves in an orderly manner when talking in the meeting and outside as well
  • We commit to follow the rules and regulations of the Moremi constitution and its Bylaws
  • We commit to be proactive as a group and as an individual
  • We commit to be positively minded
  • We commit to make decisions as a group, not as an individual
  • We commit to defy gossip and bad mouthing
